Dr. Shambhu Kumar Singh, a social activist and Environmentalist. He did Doctorate in Hindi Journalism of Bihar and got PG degrees in Law, Hindi literature, History, Gender Studies and Development and Journalism. He is awarded by BBC, London internationally for his article on Mandal Commission and Indian Youths in July, 1993. He was awarded nationally by Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India with World Bank and UP Mahila Vikas Nigam Ltd. in March, 2001 for Media Development on Women Empowerment. He was again awarded by Govt. of Bihar, Ministry of Art, Culture and Youth affairs for Creative writing in Hindi in Dec., 2009. First Prize in photography by Ministry of Environment and Forest, Govt. of Bihar for Wildlife Photography in Oct., 2015. He was also awarded First and Second Prizes in Agriculture, Horticulture, Town Planning, Flower Cultivation by the Govt. of Bihar and Raj Bhawan, Bihar several times.
